PRISE - privacy & security
Workshops

PRISE held two user and stakeholder workshops as integral parts of the project. The aim was to discuss perspectives of privacy and security from different points of view and in this way receiving input from the participants for further work. Both workshops mostly had the same participants serving, as a kind of extended reference group. By participating one had the opportunity to give input to a relevant process of policy shaping in this field. At the same time, participants got an update on developments and trends in this very dynamic field.

PRISE – User & Stakeholder workshop II
Workshop on Guidelines and Criteria for Privacy Enhancing Security Technologies in Vienna,
4th of February 2008

The PRISE project is in the finalisation phase. We have mapped the technologies; the legal situation and challenges have been examined; Scenarios for future privacy/security issues have been produced; 6 national citizen consultations have been made; a draft for privacy criteria for security research/technology has been made.

At this workshop PRISE wanted to receive feedback from the users to the criteria. We informed the participants of the background for the drafted criteria and we invited them to increase the value of the criteria together with the PRISE team.

For more details please see the Draft Agenda of the workshop and the Workshop Paper (including short papers presenting the Work Packages of PRISE to be discussed as well as practical information).

The presentations of the keynote speeches can be downloaded here.
